Hello and Welcome to the inner workings of She Performs! Here we will post a collection of our thoughts, poems, essays and musings surrounding feminism, gender relations and fabulous art!
Female artists have never really got the opportunity they so rightfully deserve. Muse, lover, or artist’s wife are about as close as it comes to being seen or heard. But did you know, women make amazing art too!
I know, what a revelation…

She Performs aims to be a platform for contemporary female artists and give them the opportunity to be heard and seen, both via this blog and our exhibition/s.

She Performs was started by myself and my fellow curators Lynn and Nicola (features on us all and our backgrounds to come!) As part of our master’s thesis we came up with the concept of a four-day event to be held at the London Gallery West’s Project Space in Harrow instead of a full written dissertation.

Over the coming weeks and months we will be sharing more about our artists and artwork, as well as reviews, interviews and general thoughts, so keep your eye peeled!
